Welcome Back to School Family Orientation, Tuesday August 17th –

This year WCE is combining the Class Lemonades and Back to School night events into one night! There will be 2 sessions so families can go to multiple classrooms. Parents and students will go to their classroom, meet teachers and learn what’s happening in their classrooms for 20 minutes. Then the students will go to the gym for supervised playtime and the teachers will present “back to school” information to the parents. Try to arrive early so you have time to find your classroom.

For ALL grades - Tuesday August 17th

Session 1: 5:00-5:50 pm

Session 2: 6:00-6:50 pm

First Day of School, Thurs. August 19th – Pool to school - 8:30 am

Meet at 8:30am at the Aviator Pool and walk to WCE as a big group. A great way to kick off the school year!  First bell rings at 8:55 am.

No School Labor Day, Monday September 6th

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Patio furniture, sidewalk chalk and ice cream sandwiches - these are all things you can purchase with your King Soopers gift cards. Just because your kids will be slacking off over summer break doesn't mean you should too. Don't forget to use your King Soopers gift card for all your summer grocery purchases. Remember 5% goes to the Westerly Creek PTA to help provide paraprofessional support in the classrooms. If you need a new card or want to join this easy fundraising program, contact Melissa Martin at melissaandchris@earthlink.net. 

Art Auction 2011-Already!!!
The art auction committee is looking for wood furniture that can be turned into a class project for next year. We are especially looking for a small table and chairs, trunks or any other child size furniture. If you are someone or are related/married to an especially talented furniture refinisher we are looking for you too. Please contact Renee at yaarenee@yahoo.com
